Applications of ring forgings include:

Ring forgings of diesel engine: a kind of forgings of diesel engine. Taking a large diesel engine as an example, there are more than 10 kinds of forgings such as cylinder cover, spindle neck, crankshaft end flange output end shaft, connecting rod, piston rod, piston head, crosshead pin shaft, crankshaft transmission gear, gear ring, intermediate gear and dye pump body.

Marine ring forgings: Marine forgings are divided into three categories: main engine forgings, shafting forgings and rudder forgings. The forgings of main engine are the same as those of diesel engine. Shafting forgings include thrust shafts, intermediate shafts and stern shafts. Rudder forgings include rudder rod, rudder post, rudder pin, etc.

Weapon ring forgings: forgings play an important role in the weapon industry. By weight, 60% of the tanks are forgings. Gun barrel, muzzle brake and gun tail, ridged barrel and knife in walking weapon, deep-water explosive launcher and fixed seat for rocket and submarine, stainless steel valve body for high pressure cooler of nuclear submarine, shell, bullet and so on are all forging products. In addition to steel forgings, they are made of other materials.

Petrochemical ring forgings: forgings are used in petrochemical equipment. For example, manholes and flanges of spherical storage tanks, tube-plates required by heat exchangers, whole forging cylinders (pressure vessels) of catalytic cracking reactors with butt-welding flanges, cylinder joints used in hydrogenation reactors, and top, bottom and sealing heads required by fertilizer equipment are forgings.

Mine ring forgings: according to the weight of equipment, the proportion of forgings in mine equipment is 12-24%. Mining equipment: mining equipment, winch equipment, crushing equipment, grinding equipment, washing equipment, sintering equipment.

Nuclear power annular forging: nuclear power is divided into pressurized water reactor and boiling water reactor. The main heavy forgings in nuclear power plants can be divided into two categories: pressure shells and internal components. Pressure shell includes: tube flange, tube nozzle, tube nozzle, upper tube body, lower tube body, tube body transition section, bolt, etc. The internal components of the reactor work under severe conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, strong neutron radiation, boric acid water corrosion, erosion and hydraulic vibration, so 18-8 austenitic stainless steel should be selected.

Thermal power ring forgings: there are four key forgings in thermal power equipment, namely the rotor and guard ring of turbogenerator, and the impeller and rotor of steam turbine.

Hydro-electric ring forgings: the important forgings in the equipment of hydropower station include the big shaft of turbine, the big shaft of hydro-generator, mirror plate and thrust head.
